Barbra Walters To Announce Her Plans To Leave The View

USPA NEWS - Barbra Walters plans to announce on todays' episode of "The View" that she will be leaving the show next year. The nations first female anchorwomen shares with “The New York Times“ that she has no regrets about the decision.
According to E! Online Barbra Walters confirms she will be leaving "The View" and announcing it on today's episode of the show. Having been with ABC for 37 years Barbra also shares with The New York Times that she has no regrets with her decision saying:

"It´s Time“¦I do not want to do any more interviews. I do not want to do any other programs. I´m not joining CNN. This is it."


Walters also mentions that this is nothing new and has been considering the decision for quit some time. Walters goes on to mention that part of her inspiration for departing is being able to maintain her health and seeing more of the world.



We will continue to see more of the Queen of daytime TV as she is expected to participate in a series of retrospectives for her show "The View" and "Prime-Time News".

For many in the area of journalism and broadcasting Barbra Walters has been a great inspiration and an icon many could only hope to follow. The 50 years veteran will be leaving behind big shoes to fill and a reputation unsurpassed. Oprah says she started her career because of Barbra Walters saying on the Barbra Walters Oprah Special:

"This is the fullest of the circle that I started this because of you and now to be doing this interview with you" speaking of her decisions to leave her show after 25 years.

One thing is for sure. Many around the world will miss Barbra.
